Introducing Team Roles and Granular Permissions

Fine-grained access control is here. Assign roles to your team members and control exactly who can do what in your workspace.

Access Control That Scales With Your Team

As teams grow, not everyone needs access to everything. Today we're launching team roles and granular permissions, giving workspace owners fine-grained control over who can do what.

Available Roles

Every workspace member is assigned one of the following roles:

  • Owner — Full control over the workspace, including billing, danger zone actions, and member management. There is exactly one owner per workspace.
  • Admin — Can manage members, settings, and most workspace features. Cannot access billing or transfer ownership.
  • Member — Standard access to workspace features. Cannot modify settings or manage other members.

Managing Roles

Workspace owners and admins can change member roles from the Members page. Click the role badge next to any member to see the available options. Role changes take effect immediately.

What's Coming Next

This is just the foundation. We're working on custom roles that let you define exactly which permissions each role includes. Stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks.
